vellum manor document recording the surrender of copyhold lands in the manor
of Hindercley, Suffolk, John Bidwell Edwards, and the admission of Robert Bidwells
Edwards as customary copyhold tenant. Dated the 22nd day of December in the
6th year of the reign of King George IV [1825] Property: One acre of land
called Clod Acres in a close called High Filed Close. Also one meadow of 8
acres; land called Woodwards, and 4-5 other pieces of land in Hindercley.
Medium: Handwritten in English on vellum. Condition: Good. Document size

Gospel), Susanna Lock (mother of Algar, widow of Edward). Has two seals and
signatures with three witness signatures.
Has note on the bottom that Algar Lock died 15/9/1835 and was buried

1724 will of John Irish of Wissott in Suffolk. Two pages of paper, slightly smaller
than A3, in excellent condition. There is a great deal of information
contained within the document with beautiful readable handwriting throughout.
There are two eight pence ink stamps on each page and two six pence stamps
have been pressed into the second page. A series of signatures complete this
beautiful document which is still in a brilliant condition after 281 years. |

small tears at the creases. The red seal at the base is in nearly perfect
condition and contains a clearly visible bust. On the side a shilling and six
pence stamp and a shilling stamp have been pressed into the document. |

The sale seems to refer to a pub as it is called the 'Chequez' an ancient
sign for pubs. The parties involved are Mr. William Muddock and Mr. Jonathan

being 240 years old. The red seal at the base is in good condition showing a
sailing ship and there is a one shilling six pence stamp on the side. |
