large rolled-up family tree made up of sheets of paper stuck together (the
photo only shows part of it!) of the Alston family of Suffolk. It covers the 1500s to the 1700s. It looks as though it may have been created
in the late 1700s/early 1800s and has pencil and pen notations in different
handwritings made during the 1800s updating the information contained on it. It has a separate piece of paper with an
additional branch on it. The left hand
side is very grubby and has some damage, otherwise good condition. |
