Vellum indenture, 19th May 1766, being a lease from Edward and Elizabeth Hall for messuage, cottage or tenement with apprertunances in Naplon, given to John Spicer, paper wafer seal and remains of two wax seals, together with an indenture for the lease of a shop, two barns, a stable, etc., from William Walter and John Stain, both from Warwickshire, 8th December 1786, small wax seal, plus an lease concerning twenty acres of meadow and twenty acres of pasture, etc., in the parish of Rolleston [Staffordshire?] in 1793, plus one other in Latin from 1705

This large parchment indenture (approx 22" x 29") is in very good condition. It is a mortgage, dated 23 November 1816, between Thomas Morris of Nuneaton and Samuel Suffolk and William Craddock. A J. Bacon is also named. There are three identical seals across the bottom, which have silk ribbons underneath. (two blue, one pink and white). There is also 1 10 shillings worth of stamp duty on the parchment. In very good condition, all text is legible and the parchment is still flexible.

This very large parchment indenture has been made up of four pieces carefully sewn together and measures approx 29" x 51". It is a 'Surrender and Admittances' between Messrs Pearman to Mr. Edwin Pearman, of the Manor of Atherstone in the County of Warwick, and contains many names. There are 3 x 1 duty stamps, and 1 x 2 duty stamp on the pieces, and the parchment is in good condition and still quite flexible.

This very large parchment indenture has been made up of three pieces carefully sewn together and measures approx 29" x 45". It is a 'Surrender and Admittances' between Messrs William and Thomas Pearman to Mr. Edwin Pearman, of the Manor of Atherstone in the County of Warwick, and contains many names. There are 2 x 1 duty stamps, and 1 x 2 10 shilling duty stamp on the pieces, and the parchment is in good condition and still quite flexible.

Batch of a dozen early Letters and paper documents all concerning Property transaction in the COLESHILL area of Warwickshire, several written by EDWARD ROCHE and mention COLESHALL as well as COLESHILL, also mention of EDWARD DIGBY and his heirs, most dated 1744. Another of 1743 signed by ROBERT SPARROW giving a detailed a/c for costs of 10/11/- in buying the Estate and two documents listing all the numbers of trees on the estate. A 2 page document dated 1707 giving details of the legal settlement of COLESHALL Estate on Miss Goodwin's marriage to a Mr TAYLOR. Finally a large paper dated 1649 which is hard to read and in another hand, may be written contemporary from the style, mention of the Taylor name again and marriage matters.
