George II featuring a most ornate printed header with large portrait of the
King, Coat of Arms, and decoration. Penned in English script, the judgement
before the Court at Westminster presided over by Sir Jogn Willes, a Knight,
whereby William Marsh makes a demand of recovery of his property from from
John Webb consisting of two dwellings, four garens, six acres of land, six
acres of meadow, and three acres of pasture in Cobham and is granted such by
this document. Two blue revenue stamps and vellum seal tag, lacking seal.

concerned. It measures 10.75 inches long by 8 inches wide. It is between
Charles Boyes Noel Snewin and Thomas Whiffen. It deals with the conveyance of
Berris House in West Hill, Putney in the Parish of Wandsworth in the County
of Surrey (now London). It has a plan of the area concerned drawn on the
front page. It retains the revenue stamps and wax seal with the signature of
Charles boyes Noel Snewin. A clean and well written document. |

Here is
a scalloped parchment Indenture dated 4th March 1817 being a Release of
property situate Broad Wall or Angel Street in the Parish of Christ Church,
Surrey. The parties to the contract are Samuel Pepys Cockerell; Sir Francis
Lindley Wood; John Kipling; Richard Ellison; Sir Robert Heron; Benjamin
Philpot; and John Sheppard. This document has four beautifully handwritten
sheets each measuring approx 26" x 23", incorporates a plan of the
premises, and bears five wax seals and four revenue stamps. Good signatures
including that of Henry Collier who was Butler to Sir Robert Heron. Samuel
Pepys Cockerell was a famous London Architect and a descendant of Samuel
Pepys. Sir Francis Lindley Wood shows his address as Bowling Hall, Bradford.
John Kipling was a Clerk of the High Court of Chancery. Sir Robert Heron was
a Politician and appears in the famous painting of the House of Commons by
Sir George Hayter which is in the collection of the National Portrait
Gallery. In very good condition although there is heavy storage soiling to
the outside of the first sheet. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- On
18-Feb-04 at 09:20:32 GMT, seller added the following information: Please
note that I have been advised that Samuel Pepys did, in fact, die childless.
Therefore there are no direct descendants as such, only indirect descendants
such as distant cousins,nieces,nephews,etc. However, the connection with
Samuel Pepys still remains. |

paper, size approx. 15" x 9", 2 leaves, folded, integral address
panel and faded black 'St Ives - C' stamp. Addressed to Mrs Denham (the
writer's mother), 100 Bermondsey Street, Southwark, London, dated Saint Ives
Janry. 4th 1832, but sections dated up to 30th Jan., signed M.A. Denham. Wear
at some folds, with loss of a few words. The writer appears to have been in
St. Ives on a preaching mission for 2 or 3 months 'My Christian regards to
our Preachers.. I've delivered my Lord's message week after week.. I believe
all these unusual meetings will be given up except the children or young
people's, upwards of 40 attend that, Mondays at 6.. those of the grown
persons that wish for help may (attend) the new rais'd class which met last
