Exemplification of a common recovery dated 28th November 1503 between John Ulneston and others, including James Hobart the Attorney General and Thomas Lucas, Solicitor General for the Manor of Ulneston Hall in Suffolk, Document on vellum with an elaborate initial letter "H" featuring fine calligraphic floral devices, and a near complete copy of the seal of the Court of Common Pleas of Henry VII attached by the original vellum tag. The seal, in dark green wax depicts the King on his throne on the obverse and the Royal Coat of Arms on the reverse together with the legend "SIGILLVM PRO BREVIBV[S CORAM] IVSTICIARIIS" Extremely rare. Documents from the reign of Henry VII in such fine condition and still bearing the original seal are scarce. By this time England was becoming a settled state after the years of civil wars which Henry had effectively brought to an end with his victory over Richard III at Bosworth in 1485 and land transactions of this nature were able to be completed without fear of violent subsequent upheaval.
