Deed of
Gift which begins "THIS INDENTURE made the first day of June in the
second year of the reign of our Sovereign Lord George the
fourth............" It is an indenture between John Clarke of Loughbrough, Robert Clark of Great Leake
and John Edward Fosbrooke of Kegworth
for messuages, outbuildings and watercourses etc.
It is in good condition for its age. I am not an expert but I think it is
written on vellum. It is quite thick and has a slightly greasy texture. It
measures 31" x 21". I have produced a typewritten copy of the text
which I hope is correct although the writing is legible. |
