This double sided paper document is in two parts which are in different handwriting.  The first part relates to the will of Richard Bond (personal estate of £20000 in 1635).  As well as leaving his estate to his only daughter and his brother, he leaves money for a Free School in Walsingham and a Children's Hospital in Norwich.  The second part is dated 1652 and signed by Francis Bacon.  It would appear to be his opinion as to the exact terms stated in the will and the "case twixt Coak v. Nabbs". Has been folded and has holes where it has been put on a spike, otherwise reasonable condition.

A 3 page list of bonds dated 7th October 1767 relating to "riot and misdemeanor".  This is a period when the "Hunger Riots" were taking place throughout the Kingdom, so we presume it relates to that.  E.g. "To next Sessions: John Morton Junr puts himsef of Neatishead Riot; John Morter Senr of Ditton - in £10 each".  The fourth pages is dated 13 January 1768 lists people who were discharged for a riot, "this Indictment is totally quashed at the Instance of the prosecutors". Has been folded and has a small amount of age spotting, otherwise very good condition.

A very nicely penned geneaology or pedigree of Thomas Patrick of Wiggenhall Saint Mary Magdalene in the county of Norfolk, a Gentleman dated 1793. Ornate with nice hand drawn decoration. Very Good, mild creasing, measures 12 x 10". From the images I can see the pedigree starts with "Cadney, died at Brandon in 1659". This Cadney had a son John Cadney and daughter Elizabeth Cadney. John had sons John Cadney and Thomas Cadney. Elizabeth married Thomas Patrick, they had a son "Jarman Patrick, only son of Thomas and Elizabeth" who married Alice Mann? Thomas and Elizabeth had another child, but I cannot make out the name from the image. Jarman and Alice Patrick had a son Thomas, the subject of the pedigree. I have saved a copy of the image. See also item 494, the pedigree was originally attached to an indenture.

This 4 page document is rather unusual.  It covers the period 1841 to 1848 and seems to cover an annual competition held on a large estate.  It is possibly Beeston Hall as it was with some other papers relating to this estate.  The document is divided into columns with individuals names in the first two columns (the second column may be the name of a sponsor) and the name of the village in the next.  It has a number written at the end which appears to relate to length of service.  It then has a column for each year with a sum of money written in some of the columns (presumably the amount of prize money won).  It is then sub-headed with Class.  Under class 5 (Length of service) the first entry reads Benjamin Lee, Samuel Nash, Paston, 42, 1-0-0.  Class 7 is for aged men.  Edward Osborn is aged 76.  Some names in this class have been crossed-out, presumably they died between 1841 and 1848.  Other headings include: Ploughing Men, Ploughing Lads, Team Men, Labourers under 12, Domestic Married Men, Married Females, Single Men, Single Women.  Class 18 is for growing Onions, Class 19 for Potatoes, Class 20 for Carrots and Class 21 for Parsnips. e.g. Edward Morris of Witton grew 33 lbs of Parsnips on 8 yds.  An Extra prize was awarded to George Keeler - ??? Cooke of Stalham - Groom and Gardener - 10 years of 1-10-0.  Places mentioned include: Paston, Westwick, Ingham, Tunstead, East Ruston, Tudham, Waxham, Irstead, Horning, Hickling, Catfield, Palling, etc.  A fascinating document for anyone why may have had an ancestor working in this area.
