Pre-nuptial
settlement. Early vellum indenture dated 1st February 1567, setting out in detail
this very early pre-nuptial agreement, between Richard ap Mores ap Jenkin of
Llanbadarn Vawr, Cardiganshire, gent, son and heir of Mores ap Jenkin ap
Jevan, Mary verch William Gruffuth, daughter and heir of Williarn Gruffuth of
[Llanfihangel] Generglyn in Cardiganshire, Richard to marry Mary before 31st
May 1566, and detailing settlements if there is issue of the marriage, etc. Scarce
16th-century Welsh indenture. The document is accompanied with a translation.

Here is
a vellum Grant of Admission (as a Customary Tenant) to The Manor of Iver, Bucks.
Dated 2nd March 1910 and signed by Edward Hawes, Chief Steward. This document
transfers tenancy from Clara Louisa Barlow (deceased) of Budleigh Salterton,
Devon, to Susan Elizabeth Lewis of Borth, Cardigan, of property situate in
Townworth, Iver. The document is accompanied by a typewritten letter from the
Chief Steward concerning the Freehold. Some storage "dustiness" to
the outer section but otherwise in excellent condition. |
