May have been forced to move away from Westwell following bankruptcy of his brother James in 1821. The Creditors agreed to the sale of James' interest in certain reversionary property to which he was entitled under his father's will. Presumably this includes his father's interest in the Woolpack, although this is not mentioned.
John is described as a victualler at Milton next Sittingbourne in his son John's baptism entry.
