Large
vellum document of thirteen leaves, 1787, being the settlement before
marriage of the Evenjob Estate, on the Radnorshire/Herefordshire border,
providing a considerable amount of information about the estate. The marriage
was between Peter Richards and Nichola Powell. Evenjob is now a village
straddling the border just west of Presteigne. |

Group
of fifteen multiple sheet vellum documents, mostly 19th c., relating to large
estates in Wales. Included in the group is an indenture dated 1822 of some 10
vellum sheets relating to the Penyard Park Estate together with an award on
the enclosure of land in Radnor, with attached coloured outline plan, and an
extremely fine detailed linen backed hand coloured map showing estates at
Aberedw and Llanbadarn-y-Garreg in Radnorshire. |

important and interesting handwritten document, dated June 11, 1708 during
the reign of Queen Anne. This is the last will and testament of John Price of
the parish of Aberedow in the County of Radnor. Gent. Comprising a single
sheet of period watermarked paper approx. 10” x 15” giving a comprehensive
account of several properties.A clean document with
a short tear approx. 1 inch along the centrefold bottom edge and a few minor
pin holes, but all text legible for transcription. Two embossed 1d revenue
stamps & one four pence ink stamp. |
