Group of twenty-four indentures on vellum and paper, 1640-1732, all relating to leases of property in Glamorgan by members of the Stradling family, all in good condition. Places listed include: St Donats, Marcross, Monknash, and Sully. Eight of the documents date from before 1700. The Stradling family were important landowners in the area, and the collection includes a finely written document with decorative initial letter dated 1640 in the name of Sir Edward Stradling, MP for Glamorgan at the time and the leading Royalist in the county during the Civil War.
